Our training scope includes the following unit standards:

• 117705 – Knowledge of Firearms Control Act, 60 of 2000 (the Law);
• 119649 – Handle and use a Handgun (i.e. a pistol / a revolver);
• 119651 – Handle and use a Manually Operated Rifle or Carbine (i.e a bolt-action / lever action hunting rifle);
• 119652 – Handle and use a Shotgun (i.e. pump-action / break neck / semi-auto);
• 119650 – Handle and use a Self-loading Rifle or Carbine (i.e an AR-style rifle or carbine);
• 243200 – Handle and use a Muzzle-loading firearm (i.e. Black Powder firearm);
• 123515 – Handle and use a Handgun for business purposes;
• 123519 – Handle and use a Manually Operated Rifle or Carbine for business purposes;
• 123514 – Handle and use a Shotgun for business purposes;
• 123511 – Handle and use a Self-loading Rifle or Carbine for business purposes;
• 123516 – Range Officer.

We are also available and assist with

• Regulation 21 yearly refresher training;
• Anti-poaching training;
• PSIRA grades;
• Private security and alertness at home;
• Private social group sessions / “Fun days” / “Team building”;
• Individual private sessions with your own firearm at the shooting range.

Required Information for New Applications / Additional License Applications

• Your full name(s), surname & ID number (as it appears in your ID document) or photo of your ID
• Your residential address (where the firearm will be kept)
• Details of the firearm: Calibre, Model, Make, Serial number (Copy of p.2 of SAP271 form, if available)
• Type of application: Self-defence / Occasional hunting or sport shooting / Dedicated hunting or sport shooting
• If you are a member of a club or an association: The club or association, your membership number and status
• If your application is for self-defence: If any specific information you wish to be included / If any CAS-no. of recent or past incidents or specific reference to incidents / Work circumstances / Farm owner etc.

Required Information for Renewal Applications

• Photo of your ID
• Your residential address
• Photo of current licence(s) due for renewal, front & back
• If you are a member of a club or an association: The club or association, your membership number and status
• If your application is for self-defence: If any specific information you wish to be included / If any CAS-no. of recent or past incidents or specific reference to incidents / Work circumstances / Farm owner etc.

Required Information for Business Purpose Applications

• Full name(s), surname & ID number of the Responsible Person (as it appears in his / her ID document) or photo of his / her ID
• Full name(s), surname & ID number of the business owner (as it appears in his / her ID document) or photo of his / her ID, if different from Responsible Person
• The business address (where the firearm will be kept)
• Details of the firearm: Calibre, Model, Make, Serial number (Copy of p.2 of SAP271 form, if available)
• Type of Business Purposes: Business in hunting / Theatrical, film and TV productions / Security Business / Training provider / Game Ranger / Other
• All the relevant registration / accreditation numbers of the company / business: At CIPRO / Trust / At SAPS / At PSIRA / professional hunting or hunting outfitters licence or permit issued by a relevant Provincial Nature Conservation Authority of the province in which the applicant conducts the business / any or other relevant Regulatory Authority
