Hearshaw and Kinnes Analytical Laboratory provides pesticide and related compounds residue analysis services. We offer multi-residue screens, single residues and client specific screens. HKAL is ISO 17025:2017 accredited laboratory (Acc #T0232)
We have been focused on satisfying the requirements of customers and complying with local and international legislation for over 20 years. Our customer base includes the canning industry, fruit exporters, pack-houses, tea and dried fruit producers, and private individuals.
To meet individual customer requirements, we have both experienced staff and state-of-the-art equipment to identify new compounds in an ever-increasing range of commodities.
We strive to provide fast, accurate, and cost-effective pesticide and related compounds residue analysis.
More Information
Hearshaw and Kinnes Analytical Laboratory was established in November 2002. With encouragement and support from the canning industry and exporters of fresh produce, Kevan Hearshaw and Sue Peall established a laboratory to provide a pesticide residue analysis service for samples no longer tested due to the closure of Forensic Chemistry Laboratory, Pesticide Section in the Department of Health.
HKAL has grown from a small staff of only 4 permanent members and limited instrumentation into a thriving and innovative laboratory. In striving to constantly improve the services offered, HKAL moved to expanded premises in Westlake in 2008, with the introduction of state-of-the-art instrumentation and techniques
