Hello, dear reader!

Winter is in full swing and let me tell you, I really like winter. Now, don’t get me wrong; it’s not that I’m happy to get up whilst still cold and dark out. But it’s relatively easy to like winter here in Pretoria. Unlike other regions of the country, where the season means long stretches of gloominess, here days are usually filled with blue sky, sunshine, and warmer temperatures.  I love to watch the muted landscapes, bundling up in warm clothes, and settling in for some good reading.  That’s where the June/ July 2018 edition of the AGRIFOODSA Magazine comes in.

On a personal note, we’d like to congratulate our very own Johan Swartz on the birth of his first-born son.  Little Cihan is incredibly adorable and certainly warms our hearts on frosty days.
