LTG: Conquering 2021

As we approach the end of 2021, the effects of the pandemic on international freight operations have been in turmoil. Continued Covid-19 disruptions had a negative effect on the freight industry. Equipment shortages, lack of capacity, port congestions, unreliable transit times and delays are but a few of the various obstacles that we are still facing in 2021 and is expected to continue in 2022.

At LTG we quickly learned to adapt to the impacting factors of a very unreliable and competitive market, yet we are proud to say that we have conquered 2021.  To mention only a few highlights, we successfully maintained our Level 2 BEE status and ISO 9001:2015 Certification, as well as managed to sign on quite a few new clients and retained 100% of our current clients, which is a challenge in itself.

LTG managed to successfully apply the Covid-19 Regulations and we continue to audit Covid-19 processes. Unfortunately, a few employees tested Covid positive during the 3rd wave but with the support of the LTG Family and a positive attitude, we were fortunate not to have any fatalities.

LTG is also proud to have had solar panels installed at our Rosslyn facility and support the Going Green Initiative. It definitely takes a team effort and comradery to achieve all this.

In our aim for continuous improvement there has been ongoing Skills Development Training with the current staff in all the departments which also included Management as well as enrolling employees into learnerships. In addition, we also have various other internal strategic projects planned for this coming year, all focussed on expanding the employee experience and knowledge base.

We are looking forward to a well-deserved break during the Festive Season and spending some time with family and friends before seizing new challenges and opportunities that will come our way in 2022.

LTG wishes you and your loved ones a blessed holiday season and a joyful and prosperous New Year!
